Senior Thesis Collection
Jennifer designed a line of evening-wear based on the concept of descending into darkness for her senior thesis collection. By studying different sources of classical literature, such as Dante's Inferno and various Ovid poems, she noticed a recurring theme surrounding death and the underworld. To depict this idea, she pulled inspiration from birds in flight and she drew on her experiences from years of dance. This collection was shown in the SCAD 2015 Student Fashion Show on May 16th. Jennifer worked closely with fibers student Madison Heim on the beadwork for her collection, and received guidance from her mentor Christian Siriano. She was also sponsored by Sophie Hallette lace company, located in Paris, France.
